Hey y'all,

I think we can often get wrapped up in our lives and forget who to turn to and place our burdens. I know personally if I think about the future and even small tasks I face I can become very anxious but if you read Matthew 6:25-34 and Luke 12:22-34 you are promised a provider. I love that my sorority creed includes a reminder that we are the Lilies of the Field. God has so much love for us, more than the flowers in the field he constantly cares for. We need not worry about our futures but look at the treasures of our hearts.

Hey y'all,

I have had a lot of unknows come up in my life recently and I thought I would share this verse with you. It is such a comfort to remember that no matter our situations, we have a Savior who is there to listen to us and support us. Life is scary and taking steps in faith are very hard but sometimes, it is going into the unknown and trusting God that will strengthen us in our walks as well as personally.

Hey y'all,

As usual, I like to take my Sundays to reflect on the past week, plan for the upcoming week, and dwell in verses and sayings that inspire me. This verse from Colossians has been on my heart as a list of virtues I want to strive for. When someone wants to know about me I want my friends to list me as compassionate, kind, humble, gentle, and patient. This verse just laid on my heart heavy since the past few months I have let other things come before my service to others and I am glad that I have service built in to the weekends of March.

Also, my church's current series is called God and the Rest of the Week, this week's message was focusing on Busyness through Luke 10:38-42. I highly recommend it as one of my goals this year is to focus on my relationships and remember the word No so that busyness does not overcome my life.

Ikea loves...

Hey y'all,

So I have officially been approved for a new apartment with my future roomie, don't worry I am sure she will be making an appearance on the blog soon, so since then I have been dreaming about what my future room is going to be arranged and how are living spaces will be decorated. We even got a shared Pinterest board going on and I have turned to Ikeahackers.net for a lot of inspiration. A Fruit or a Vegetable?

Hey y'all,

I love the summer due to all the great fruits and veggies that are in season. One of my favorite memories of summertime is eating lots of recipes with tomatoes since my mother grows tomatoes and since she has a green thumb every year it seems we have to give bags away to the neighbors. So since I am feeling all nostalgic I went on Pinterest and found some great looking recipes for tomatoes and had to share:

Marinate tomatoes in balsamic vinegar for 30 minutes. Lay on a baking sheet, season with salt and pepper. Bake for 7 minutes at 350 degrees. Then top with sautéed spinach and mozzarella. Broil until cheese melts.
