Top 5 Tuesday: Candles

Hey y'all,

One of my favorite bloggers is back! Rachel of Just Peachy is restarting her Top 5 Tuesday series and since she now has a new place the topic is CANDLES! While my mother hates candles I for one am all for it. My favorites tend to always be Slatkin & Co. by Bath and Body Works so I thought I would just do my Top 5 favorite scents. Luckily, all but one are still available for sale since the last time I had a big candle haul was in the summer!

So I am not the greatest at describing scents so I thought that Bath and Body Works did a great job on their site so here is what they say:
1/ "Salty and Sweet! Mandarin, juicy mango and ripe plum capture the aroma of this classic poolside cocktail with a freshly salted rim."
2/  "Dive into this blend of tropical melon, raspberry nectar and lemon mellowed by creamy coconut milk and raw sugarcane for a fragrant and exotic escape."
3/ "Indulge your sweet tooth! Notes of fresh vanilla bean, sugar, cake batter and rich buttercream frosting combine to create a sweet fragrant treat as mouth-watering as the real thing." *This is the best candle for when you first move into a place and want the smell of fresh buttercream frosting!
4/ "Cheers! Enjoy this pretty and intoxicating mix of zesty mandarin, crisp apple, watery pear and sugared berries."
5/"A mysterious blend of cranberry, rich blackcurrant and raspberry delicately layered with notes of cinnamon bark, cedarwood and warm amber." *The Wallflowers are still available but this scent was my go to during the fall and winter months since it is such a cozy scent.

Link up with Rachel to show off your favorite candles/scents.

    Fall Accessory Swap...

    Hey y'all,

I know it has been two weeks but between preparing for the interview, the interview, stressing about hearing back, finding cute ideas for big/little for my only active grand-little(my first little and her little have both suspended their membership this semester) I have just not really felt like myself. Truly. It might have been the nude nail polish, but I haven't been feeling like much of anything(including reading)and therefore I have not been blogging so I hope you understand. I am still waiting to hear back about my interview but I have a phone interview this week as well, so here is to possibilities!

A few days after my trip to Chapel Hill to celebrate both of my Little's 22nd birthdays (they are within a month of each other) and my baby sister's 20th birthday I was excited to find my swap gift from the "Fall into Fall" Fall Accessories Swap. Due to swap partner problems, my swap was a bit delayed but I was paired last minute with Aimee of Aimee's World. I just want to say that I was so blessed with my gifts and truly love everything.

Aimee got me this gorgeous scarf and three mini candles from Bath and Body Works! I am a really picky scent person (I think it has to do with my heightened sense of smell) but I really don't like super spice scents which I know is always in for fall but I love the ones Aimee choose for me.
It is definitely not something I would have chose on my own but I love it and have paired it with jeans and a white shirt when I saw Pitch Perfect with my baby sister. It is gorgeous.

Look at the cute box that held my candles.
I am in love with this stationery.
I LOVE this candle. It is almost gone. Go get Cranberry Woods!
Cinnamon Nut Bread. Probably my least favorite scent of the three.
     Plum Wine Amber.
I am excited to start using this candle. I love fall scents for candles.
Aimee also sent this mini candle sleeve so my mini candles look gorgeous!

    THANKS AGAIN Aimee!

    Wednesday Loves...

    Hey y'all,

This is a list of some of my favorite things this week....

    I'm loving....

...that today was my day off! I got to spend the majority of the day relaxing. It was quite perfect minus the humidity going on here in NC.

...adding tabs to my blog. I spent some time last night in designing my blog and added a few tabs for those who want to know more about me or some of my favorite blog reads.

... spending time outside after dinner reading by the pool. This is the second evening I have been home and had time to grab a drink, my current book and head out back.

    Perfection
...the free beauty bag I received from Target arrived today filled with goodies and coupons!

...burning candles in my room as I read late at night. I could never burn them during college so I am obsessed right now with ones I grabbed at Bath and Body Works last summer.

...the library. Where else can you live a million stories over the summer without paying a dime. Plus, my overflowing bookshelf appreciates my use of the public library.

...catching up with old friends. Friday I am catching up with one of my best friends from high school, my "twin" jHl has almost the same name as me and was born a day before me. It is going to be great catching up with her. Also on Friday my best friend returns from the North after her graduation and will be here in NC before she takes on D.C. as a teacher for TFA(Teach for America) in the Fall.

More like True Blood and Suits returning this week.

I love my monogrammed Tervis (mine is jDl in hot pink). I carry it everywhere over the summer.

    Did you link up today?

Also, I am thinking about getting an Erin Condren planner now that her 2012-2013 planners are out. As much as I loved my Lilly Planner over the last school year I am always itching for a new planner. Thoughts? Do you have one? Pro-Con list? HELP ME OUT!

    Peace and Blessings,
