Falling into Fall, or Getting Ready For Winter...

Hey y'all,

Back in December I signed up for the Falling into Fall Swap and while our reveal was supposed to be mid-October, it was the craziest time for me and my swap partner at our jobs. So we sent our swap gifts a little late and due to some mail issues I just got my package this week! Sarah decided with her late-ness to turn my package into a Get Ready for Winter box.

This is all I received....
All wrapped up

I got a snowman kitchen towel, beautiful purple scarf, Ghirardelli chocolate, gloves, ear warmer/headband, and a sparkly tumbler.

I took the tumbler to work the other day and got a tons of compliments on it!

Look at the bows! Sarah really picked out everything that we perfect to my style!

Thank you to all the hosts for the Swap! And thanks again, Sarah!

Now I am ready for Christmas packages!

Cara Box Reveal: May

Hey y'all (HAPPY JUNE),

So this past week I received my Cara Box from Kendra and since this was a regional themed box mine was filled with goodies from or referencing Seattle! I personally have never been up that way and have only made it to California so it was nice to have a complete surprise.

I received:
a sweet note
a reusable tote bag
a book
Starbuck's Viva  Refreshers in Verry Berry Hibiscus
A Julep nail polish
A letter J

Thank you so much Kendra and head on over to Erin's blog to see what I got her from NC or to Kaitlyn's to see all the boxes.

Who knows what June's box theme will be!

All Things Spring Swap

Hey y'all,

So I was completely spoiled by Sarah of Shorelines and Sunshine when we were placed together as blog swap partners in Lindsey's first blog swap. I am so glad since Sarah and I have a lot of common interests and I would not have started following without this swap.

Now onto the goodies.

I was going to my apartment complex to pick up a package of Norts when lo and behold there was a package with the shipping return address of Lifeguard Press.

Sarah got me lots of items from Lilly since who doesn't think of Lilly Pulitzer when the temperatures rise and spring has sprung. I was spoiled with:
Lilly Magnets and Koozie

My fridge all decorated

A collection of Lilly koozies

In Action
Now go spoil your friends with the items Sarah got me
Beverage Hugger in Chiquita Bonita

Dress Magnets

I promise to post real life photos of my items(I'm currently at work) since I had to run out and get some Diet Coke for my new koozie and the magnets have found a home on my fridge!

THANKS SARAH! Now head on over to her page to check out what she got from me!

blogger book swap

hey y'all,

I realized I had yet to link up with Kimberly and crew for the Blogger Book Swap! I was really suprised and excited to get Leanna again as my partner! We were partners for the  Flip Flop Swap back in July!

Leanna sent me David Nicholls' novel One Day! I have actually already seen the last half of the movie so I am really excited to read the book and see how it compares. She even made it a Barnes and Noble's digital gift so it was sent directly to my beautiful nook! I have yet to pick up the book since I am swamped with amazing library books but my goal is to start it before the end of the month.
Have you read One Day?
What are you currently reading?

Thanks again Leanna!

Peace and Blessings,
jDl

Scarf Swap!

Hey y'all,

A few weeks ago, the lovely Janna from love-the-moments  sent me the most adorable scarf from the swap Crystal set up. It was so sweet and I have been so busy that I haven't shown off my new goods. For a girl that loves scarves, I thought this would be kind of difficult but Janna got my the beautiful number from H&M and it is my first infinity loop scarf. I have worn it to work and out & about and it is so great. I am really starting to love scarves with prints. THANK YOU! I also got a few other goodies I thought I should share.

I am so thankful for the beautiful gifts. I am now eyeing this infinity scarf from the Library of Congress. It comes with the print of Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice or Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre upon it.

Where is your favorite place to grab a scarf? I think the NC State Lilly Print Murfee is also on my list! Are you scarf obsessed too?

Fall Accessory Swap...

Hey y'all,

I know it has been two weeks but between preparing for the interview, the interview, stressing about hearing back, finding cute ideas for big/little for my only active grand-little(my first little and her little have both suspended their membership this semester) I have just not really felt like myself. Truly. It might have been the nude nail polish, but I haven't been feeling like much of anything(including reading)and therefore I have not been blogging so I hope you understand. I am still waiting to hear back about my interview but I have a phone interview this week as well, so here is to possibilities!

A few days after my trip to Chapel Hill to celebrate both of my Little's 22nd birthdays (they are within a month of each other) and my baby sister's 20th birthday I was excited to find my swap gift from the "Fall into Fall" Fall Accessories Swap. Due to swap partner problems, my swap was a bit delayed but I was paired last minute with Aimee of Aimee's World. I just want to say that I was so blessed with my gifts and truly love everything.

Aimee got me this gorgeous scarf and three mini candles from Bath and Body Works! I am a really picky scent person (I think it has to do with my heightened sense of smell) but I really don't like super spice scents which I know is always in for fall but I love the ones Aimee choose for me.
It is definitely not something I would have chose on my own but I love it and have paired it with jeans and a white shirt when I saw Pitch Perfect with my baby sister. It is gorgeous.

Look at the cute box that held my candles.
I am in love with this stationery.
I LOVE this candle. It is almost gone. Go get Cranberry Woods!
Cinnamon Nut Bread. Probably my least favorite scent of the three.
 Plum Wine Amber.
I am excited to start using this candle. I love fall scents for candles.
Aimee also sent this mini candle sleeve so my mini candles look gorgeous!

THANKS AGAIN Aimee!

Tied up with some pearls...

Hey y'all,

So this past week I got an amazing surprise in the mail from my swap partner from The Preppy Student's earring swap. It was a lot of fun shopping for only one pair of earrings but I was so in love with the pair I received from Kailey of a Pearl Kind of Girl.

Aren't they adorable! I thought a bow made of pearls is a perfect addition to my jewelry collection and are perfect for work since they are small studs/not overpowering.

What are your favorite pair of earrings like?

All Polished Off With....

Hey y'all,

Since I have been a horrible blogger between looking at all my PBX sister's photos on facebook during recruitment this week, applying to 15 jobs this week, working, ordering and crafting for my Littles and Big's birthdays I have had very little time to sit down and blog/become creative with a blog topic but you are in for a treat since today I am posting 3 times. Yes you read that right. I didn't want a humongous-ly long post so I am splitting up my rambles into three parts today so stay tuned. So here we go with post #1 on this lovely Friday!

So a few weeks ago I joined Meghan and Angela's nail polish swap. I am starting to get addicted to swaps if you couldn't tell. I mean who doesn't like meeting new blog friends, searching for the perfect gift and then getting an amazing surprise. I was partnered up with the lovely Kelly of Living the Before and y'all, I was seriously spoiled.
The sweet card and little makeup bag
The beautiful polishes. Told you I was spoiled.
OPI's Brisbane Bronze
Essie's Recessionista*THIS IS THE PERFECT COLOR FOR FALL!
Essie's Going Incognito
Sally Hansen Top/Base Coat
Small blue sparkly polish
Revlon Nail Files.
So now that you have seen my beautiful gifts, I have a confession. I am a nail polish addict. Well, more like a big collector and this past week I have found the best deals so of course I grabbed more. I had been doing so well all summer in not picking up polish but here is what I have grabbed.
My collection of mini polishes in my new makeup bag.

I might have a few polishes.

Julep Polishes from their September Mystery Box. If you haven't heard about Julep you can read my post here. But they offered the Julep Mavens a mystery box worth between $60-200. I got a smaller box with these four colors(L to R): Portia, Jennifer, *No Name(unreleased color) and Eva.
The un-named color reminds me of Sephora by OPI's Mermaid to Order
Current nails: butter London's Royal Navy with Julep's Portia on top.
Portia reminds me of fish scales/mermaid scales with the large chunky blue/green glitter.

So during Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty I picked up the butter LONDON's buy one get one free deal. I got (L to R): Slapper, Henley Regatta, Royal Navy and Macbeth(English Major Nerd Choice). I was torn because I also wanted HRH and British Racing Green
I also found these OPI colors on Clearance at Ulta.
I Brake for Manicures
William Tell Me About OPI
Suzi Takes the Wheel
And last but not least in my nail polish deals of the past two weeks, I found Essie at Marshalls!
Glamour Purse
Little Brown Dress
Absolutely Shore
Exposure
Tonight I am rocking my letters as I write this since today, Friday is Kappa Chapter's BID DAY! I can't wait to hear all about it!

Do you collect anything? Favorite nail polish color?
Peace and Blessings,
jDl
