Things I'm Loving Thursday

Hey y'all,

I thought I would compile a list of ten things I am loving today. I know that sometimes we get so bogged down it is great to have a reminder of all the good things.

I'm loving...

...today is the start of Spring! Bring out the sundresses, sandals, Claritin and open the windows to enjoy fresh air and sun.

...speaking about Spring today's weather is beautiful! It is currently 59 degrees outside and I just want to go lay on the quad and enjoy the day.

...lunch dates with Katie Perk. I loved that I was able to catch up with this sweet girl. We enjoyed some McAllister's sweet tea and talked about all things movies, books, tv shows and life. I call that a great lunch hour.

...Divergent the film comes out tomorrow (well technically tonight at 8pm). I am currently trying to find time that my roommate and I can find to go see the film together.

...bridesmaid dress shopping for jCm is today! I am so excited to be Jenn's MOH and today myself and the other bridesmaids are going to check out some dresses.

...it's Big/Little week! While my family is not expecting a new addition it was still fun to go to chapter and enjoy the serenading boys while the little's got flowers from their bigs.

...these PJ pants from Old Navy are my favorite and some of them are on sale! I am trying really hard not to buy them all but they are the best!

...The NCAA tournament is underway! Do you have your bracket ready? Who are your final four?

...starting a new book. I started Love Starts with Elle the other day and I think I will be finishing it up shortly. I loved Once Upon a Prince and A March Bride, so I think this book will keep me occupied before I can find Princess Ever After at the library.

...getting to see my baby sister kDi Saturday, possibly. My baby sister went home for her spring break last week and my parent's sent her back with a book and some Vera Bradley accessories my Mom grabbed at the Outlet that matched the duffel I got for my birthday. I think matching travel accessories are the best and while I have no travel plans in the future I am ready to have my set all together.

What are you loving today?

Weekend Update!

Hi y'all,

So this past weekend ended on Thursday for me with leaving work a bit early(after lots of wonderful work birthday celebrations) to head to my parent's house. With the snow that fell on Tuesday, the roads still had some ice so I wanted to make it home before it got dark. While I was pulling into town I caught this sunset below. It was such a great reminder that God is the creator and even after a long day of work we can revel in the beauty of this earth.

After arriving home it was time for lovely home-cooked dinner, watching Jeopardy/Wheel of Fortune, then watching Reign and Elementary before crashing.

Friday I was able to sleep in (after waking at 4:30 when some cats decided they wanted to walk all over me) and watch Live with Kelly & Michael before getting ready to head out for my birthday! My mom and I decided to hit the Old Navy where I got a pair of black flats and a nude pair of flats along with this dress. Then at Barnes & Noble, in the bargain book section I picked up Time Untime(in hardcover) and The Runaway Princess. After a nice lunch at Ruby Tuesdays and some Coldstone (I mean you have to indulge on your birthday) we headed over to Target. At Target I was able to find this beautiful scarf and picked up some other items that were necessary but I hate to buy bras so why not make them part of your present? Finally we ended at Marshall's where I got a bash and chop!

The evening ended with some Quiznos, skyping into book club, watching Say Yes to the Dress, watching Parental Guidance and opening up the rest of my presents to find a Vera Bradley large duffel in Baroque, Downton Abbey Series 1-3 on DVD, and a Willow Tree figure
Max and Lilly liked my present.
Saturday was a lazy day. It was raining outside so we spent the day in pajamas watching movies like Dolphin Tale on ABC Family and The Butler. We also made it to mass that evening and while we were going to go to a new Italian restaurant near my parent's house the wait was 40 minutes so we went to the Harris Teeter next door and got salads and ready made meals. Lazy Saturdays are the best.

Sunday was my last day at home so it began with homemade waffles, eggs and sausage. After breakfast I packed up my stuff while watching Say Yes to the Dress and my Mom and I watched Percy Jackson Sea of Monsters before I hit the road. Once back I hit the Aldi for some groceries and then unpacked, made dinner and watched Downton Abbey.

I would call the weekend as a nice relaxing time away! What did you do this weekend?

What I'm Loving Wednesday {Birthday Wishlist}

Hey y'all,

Since it is Wednesday I thought I would share some of the things I am loving this week, including the fact that there is snow on the ground here in NC! I am bundled up here at work but for those of you out there I hope you are all safe and warm as snow can be very dangerous here in the South with very little experience driving in it. STAY SAFE!

Now on a happier note, less than 48 hours until my birthday! The blessing and the curse of a January birthday is that you are so close to Christmas. I love that my left over Christmas list serves as a guide for my birthday wishlist, but I then go months until any big holidays. I mean, except for my Easter basket I wait 11 months before gifts come around. This year it was hard to think of things. My mom and I typically go shopping as my gift and since I am in the process of losing weight, I do not really want to shop for clothes until I reach my healthy, goal weight but we have a while until that. So, I have compiled a few things I am hoping to get but it is always a surprise.

24 birthday wishlist

1. This bookworm always accepts giftcard to bookstores. I don't have any books in particular I am searching for and I have a lot on my Nook I need to get through, but I will never turn down books as gifts.
2. I love my Vera Bradley duffel in Night Owl I got my first year in college. It is the perfect size for weeks at a time or even over packing for a weekend away. I love the Baroque pattern and since it is retiring the duffel comes in under $60!
3. A new Patagonia Re-tool Snap T pullover. I think I might split this with my parents since some of them are on sale for under $85 during the 30% off sale! I got my first pullover in April and have lived in it all year long!
4. Riding Boots. I love my current set I got back my Junior year of college but after four years the pair is looking a little rough, I mean we got them for under $75 at Belk so I think 4 years of wear and tear (I wear them constantly) is great. I think we will be heading to T.J. Maxx or Marshall's to hunt out a deal.
5. And I couldn't not include this gorgeous top released in my favorite print on my birthday list! This is the only exception to my clothing rule since I doubt this will make it to the ESS in August.
Click through to Polyvore or the individual images to pick up these items for yourself.

I hope you all stay warm on this snow day!

What would be on your wishlist during this time of year?
