What I Wore Wednesday {Early March}

Hey y'all,

I love looking at outfit posts for inspiration, but I thought I would start taking a few pics everyday to show you my different outfits and the occasions. I don't have a true full length mirror so for now you are getting headless shots. Sorry! I will try to link similar items if I can't find my exact item but not everything has an equivalent, so I'm sorry ahead of time.

Sally Sells Sea Shells by the Sea Shore

 Hey y'all,

While the school year is quickly approaching and we all think back to the time that August meant back to school shopping for new school supplies and the perfect first day of school outfit I thought I would share some of the basics on building a work wardrobe. I know that it has taken me a few years since graduating college to build my wardrobe and I thought I would share some tips and tricks along with some of my favorite items for all of those college graduates transitioning to the work world or those of you who love looking at adding some basic essential pieces to mix-in.

Your basic shell. I think shells are an essential to any wardrobe and luckily you can find them in any price point for those just starting out on a tight budget or those that have a bit of wiggle room. They are great tucked into a pencil skirt or toss on a cardigan or blazer with a black pant and you are ready for the boardroom.

Shells

Also, to add some shells to your wardrobe without braking the bank, LOFT's Friends and Family sale started today with 40% off everything using code SHAREIT. If you are on the email list you even get an additional 20% off coupon for LOFT Outlet stores.

And, don't forget that the Kate Spade Surprise Sale ends tonight! Shop the sales and work on building that work wardrobe!

Where are your favorite places to find work clothes?

What I Wore Wednesday

Hey y'all,

One of the requests for blog posts y'all submitted from my 200 follower giveaway was to see more Outfit of the Day posts. I have yet to have time to go take nice pictures of various outfits but I have been making an effort over the past few weeks to snap a few pictures of my outfits. So here are 10 outfits from the past month. The jewelry is typically all the same since I always wear an Anne Klein bracelet watch of some kind (I have a two-tone one, a silver, and a gold watch), my pearl ring, my monogram square ring and pearls. Lately, I have also been wearing my monogram necklace from ElizaJay Charm. Also, most of these are work outfits, minus the last one is from this weekend for a college graduation. If you have any questions or suggestions for blog posts let me know!

Some OOTDs

Hey y'all,

I was way to busy yesterday to post so I hope you understand! This past weekend I went home to visit my parents, got my hair cut (you can see the new 'do here), saw one of my best friends from high school, slept 10+ hours every night, cuddled with kittens. Then yesterday I left home to go to the dentist, drove back to Chapel Hill for a doctors appointment and then did the usual weekend things like clean my room, grocery shop all topped off with an amazing night of small group. So I hope you understand that blogging was kind of neglected but I will post my 30 days of thanks later for today and yesterday. Now onto what you really want, my daily life of outfits.

Recent OOTDs

Hey y'all,

It has been forever since I have posted a blog with some of my outfits so this is going to be kind of long since I have been collecting a few outfits every week to share! Most of the time though the past few weeks I have been running out the door so excuse me that these are not a regular occurrence. I hope that you are not bored with all my Target finds. From working there as a sales person to just loving to shop there I think the majority of my wardrobe is from Tar-jay.

And since I have been consistently blogging for three weeks now I thought it would be fun to jump on the bandwagon of the everyday in May posts. I think they might be double posts or at the end of posts like this one but we shall see. Today's top is your favorite quote and you all know me and that I love quotes so this is super hard. My "favorite quote" on my application to Carolina was the following:
via
As an English major (hopeful at the time) I really love the quote and I still do think Cicero was on the ball with the fact that I have books in almost every room of my apartment but this quote by Dr. Seuss is currently one I think of often.
