Gameday {UVA}

Hey y'all,

It's Saturday so it is time to watch my Tar Heels take on the Cavaliers in Charlottesville today. For today's look I found this gorgeous dress from the boutique, Bluetique. The navy color actually works for both teams so I based this look on the dress and thought a few colorful accessories could determining if you are cheering "WahooWa" or "Go Heels." With fall coming in, a scarf and boots finishes off the look along with some jewelry that coordinates for a stylish look that won't have you shivering in the stands.

Horsing Around {Critter Couture}

Hey y'all,

My Mom grew up riding horses all the time so I have always had a soft spot for the magnificent beasts. However, you will never find me riding one. They are kind of scary for me and my Mom had a bad fall when I was little so I have been wary ever since. I mean, I will brush them and spend all day at a farm with them but if you ever see me on a horse it might be the end of the world.

It seems like horse items are slowly coming into the world of fashion. Here are some things you can add to your closet that show you love the magnificent beauty of horses without wearing a costume:

What are your feelings on horses? Have you ever gone riding?

Everyone's Favorite Pachyderm {Critter Couture}

Hey y'all,

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and it wasn't too difficult to climb out of bed! Last week, I started a mini-series I'm calling Critter Couture! I love that the fall brings boots, scarves, and lots of whimsy over the past few years as far as critters appearing on clothing. From dresses to sweaters to jewlery, animals are making lots of statements and I thought I would share daily a different animal and all the cute options you could add to your closet. Today, I thought I would focus on the elephant. I think everyone loves elephants and as seen by everyone's obsession with Lilly Pulitzer's pattern Tusk in Sun, elephants are here to stay in the world of fashion.

Here are some of my finds:

Blackout

Hi y'all,

Friday/Monday were the craziest days of the semester at work since a big deadline was Monday so sorry for the absence. I am finally getting a laptop tomorrow so hopefully the post-it note of post ideas I have can be dealt with. In the meantime, today is the football game between Carolina and Miami and UNC is making it a blackout game labeled "Zero Dark Thursday." Since I am at work and not attending the game I decided to show my school spirit by dressing up, here is what I am wearing and since today's high is 80 I think if I was attending the game this could transition well (with some tights and different shoes). And Happy Start of Fall Break for UNC students means my work day will be very quiet!

GAME DAY!

Hey y'all,

It is the day most of us in the South have been waiting for, the first football game of the season! While I am a fan of Saturday games, the coveted Thursday night game means tonight's showing between the Carolinas will be very interesting. I know we are not predicted to win but I am excited to see the new players and cheer on my alma mater. While I am not at the game, I thought I would put together a look I would love to rock if I was in Columbia.

Who are you cheering for? Are you excited for College Football to start?

April Showers

Hey y'all,

It's the last day of April and I can officially say that North Carolina has not had a month of continuous rain, but Sunday and Monday were filled with some wet weather. However, during the past few rain storms I have seriously contemplated the need of the current trend of a monogrammed rain coat so I thought I would share five options I am eyeing right now....
