Cooking Up A Storm

Hey y'all,

HAPPY APRIL! I am loving that the weather is finally warming up now in NC but that also means that allergy season has begun. Here is to hoping I can breathe when walking outside this month. 
Anyway, this past weekend I spent some time on Friday with co-workers at the local mall just browsing when I found a really interesting cookbook at Barnes and Nobles on the sale table and then when I ran to a different Barnes and Nobles yesterday to finish off a blog swap I picked up a few more off the clearance table. Birthday Present Fun!

Hey y'all,

I was really blessed this birthday with some really great gifts including:

my nook simple touch! I have already read 3 books and am almost done with another. It is perfect for taking to the gym and getting some reading done as well as getting some books from the NC Digital library!

my nice new crockpot! I already cooked beef stroganoff in it this weekend but I am now on the hunt for great recipes for it! Feel free to suggest something or watch my pinterest board get filled with slow cooker/freezer recipes.
