Off to the Theater!

Hey y'all,

As a Christmas gift I was given tickets to see the traveling production of Wicked the Musical at the Durham Performing Arts Center! I am so excited to see one of my favorite musicals and experience it with one of my best friends and sorority sister, JMC.

One thing that is great about Wicked is the music and how relevant it is to those of us graduating. I saw the company in LA after my high school graduation and know that the lyrics are very powerful and meaningful to graduates.

For Good
I've heard it said
That people come into our lives for a reason
Bringing something we must learn
And we are led
To those who help us most to grow
If we let them
And we help them in return
Well, I don't know if I believe that's true
But I know I'm who I am today
Because I knew you...
It well maybe
That we will never meet again
In this lifetime
So let me say before we part
So much of me
Is made from what I learned from you
You'll be with me
Like a handprint on my heart
And now whatever way our stories end
I know you have re-written mine
By being my friend.

Defying Gravity
I'm through accepting limits
'Cause someone says they're so
Somethings I cannot change
But 'til I try I'll never know!
Too long I've been afraid of
Losing love I guess I've lost
Well, if that's love
It comes at much too high a cost!

The theater is a great excuse to get dressed up and enjoy an evening with friends so I've made a few options of what to wear to the theater from J.Crew, Kate Spade, and Lilly Pulitzer:

What are your favorite graduation songs? I am making a playlist for my graduation celebration and need some help!

Thanks,
