Design on a Dime: Living Room Inspiration
Hey y'all,
I don't know about you but I love watching HGTV shows about interior design. I am itching to decorate my apartment but as a postgrad with school loans, a car payment, and other expenses a full makeover is not in the cards. However, a sofa is my next purchase once my tax return comes in. Now as a girl on a budget my favorite places to shop for home decor would have to be Homegoods/TJ Maxx/ Marshalls and Target. I wish an Ikea was closer to me but I am thinking that I will make a trip to Charlotte this summer since I think Ikea couches are the best for my price range but any suggestions are welcome. Here are some of my Pinterest inspirations for my pink/green living room. I want to keep the couch pretty neutral and make the pink and green more as a pop/accent color.

For the apartment I live in now, it's furnished mostly from Ikea and odds and ends my parents had extra of at home. I love the furniture and styling at Restoration Hardware and Pottery Barn though.

ReplyDeleteWhen I decorated my apartment I hit up a lot of antique stores, yard sales, and then TJ Maxx and IKEA. I kind of mixed and matched pieces from everywhere to get a shabby chic type of look! I love decorating! If only it didn't have to be on a budget ;)
