Christmas Spirit

Hey y'all,

I don't know about you but I refuse to listen to Christmas music until after December 1st, it helps to keep the season special. This past weekend I finally added some Christmas touches to my little abode. Since I am spending Christmas at my parent's house and I am short on space in my apartment I decided to not spend the money on a tree this year. This has made it a bit hard to feel in the Christmas mood but I have been trying to find some small touches to make it special.

For instance, I have a Charlie Brown tree on my dining room table. My parent's got each of the kids one and it is a funny reminder of my parent's and that Christmas isn't about the tree  and the decor but the season is a reminder of our salvation. I also put up some fun garlands and a Santa Christmas countdown! Two more weeks until I am HOME!

This past week I also attended the Southern Wedding's Barn Building Competition. I must say that I was not prepared for the innovation people had in creating beautiful barn creations. It also didn't help that I was a team of one since some of my friends were unable to make it. Here is my little barn:

Nicole did such a wonderful job in helping to arrange the barn building celebration. Love this girl.

I had to throw in my monogram.

I hope that you all are getting in the Christmas spirit! I always feel that ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas movies always help as well. My favorite Christmas movies are the Grinch, The Year without A Santa Claus, Prep & Landing, The Town Santa Forgot, The Santa Claus(e), and A Muppet's Christmas Carol.
What's your favorite Christmas film?

  1. All of your garlands are so cute! Is it weird that I actually love Charlie Brown trees?
