It has been a strange week so far but I hope you are all enjoying Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday)! Tomorrow begins the reflective season of Lent for some demoniations in the Christian faith so I felt that today while we debate what we will give up or add over the next 40 days we should reflect on some verses and I found some great pinterest pins to illustrate:

I'm Southern Baptist and we actually don't participate in Lent!
ReplyDeleteI love lent. I know it is traditionally for catholics but I believe that its a good thing for all to participate in. If you give up something you really want and desire it will allow you to focus on sacrifice and reflect on the sacrifice that Christ made for us. I love lent.
ReplyDeleteI participate in lent in a different sort of way. Instead of giving something up, I use the 40 days of lent to commit to building a habit. In the past (elementary/middle school), it has been things like eat breakfast before school, read the bible each night, etc. I'm still not sure what I want to do this year as I'm at a kind of difficult part in my life right now...but I do know that as always, lent will include lots of praying and scripture!
ReplyDeleteI love that final canvas! I'm trying to decide what I'm giving up!
ReplyDeleteI recently stumbled across your blog and love it! I'm always excited when I find other sorority women in the blogging world! Have a great day!
